Mississippi native and former Louisville Cardinals wide receiver Braden Smith announced his decision to transfer to the Cincinnati Bearcats in a social media post on Tuesday!
Smith spent three seasons at Louisville and is expected to have one year of eligibility left as he joins the Bearcats alongside a familiar face in first-year head coach Scott Satterfield.
During his freshman campaign with the Cardinals, Smith compiled a career-high 370 receiving yards and 27 catches, highlighted by a 110-yard performance during his debut in 2020.
Even though he found success in Satterfield’s offense at times, Smith is more likely to take on a reserve role behind fellow Louisville transfer wide receiver Dee Wiggins and others.
