Detroit native and former Kentucky offensive tackle Deondre Buford announced his transfer commitment to join the Cincinnati Bearcats in a social media post on Tuesday night!

Following his sophomore campaign with the Wildcats, Buford elected to enter the transfer portal in early May and eventually revealed his commitment to the Bearcats this week.

The Martin Luther King High School product was previously a 4-star recruit according to 247 Sports, with scholarship offers from LSU, Miami, Penn State, Tennessee and more!

Cincinnati Football: Kentucky transfer offensive lineman Deondre Buford commits to the Bearcats

After having a reserve role during his freshman year, Buford appeared in all 13 games at Kentucky last season and is expected to have two years of eligibility remaining.

Buford joins several other incoming transfers on the Bearcats offensive line including former Louisville offensive guard Luke Kandra, Penn center Trevor Radosevich and more.

Kandra reportedly received interest from Pittsburgh but was focused on transferring to his hometown school after Satterfield was hired by the Bearcats in December.

Cincinnati native and former Louisville offensive guard Luke Kandra announced his commitment to the Bearcats and became the first commit since Satterfield was hired last year.

During his senior season at Elder High School, Kandra was the 6th ranked offensive guard in the nation via 247 Sports, and helped the Panthers reach the state championship game.

The former 4-star prospect played in 21 games throughout two seasons at Louisville before deciding to enter the portal and eventually committing to Cincinnati the next night.
