Cincinnati Bearcats alumni team Nasty Nati is set to participate in The Basketball Tournament for a second year in a row, with the winner taking home the $1 million prize this summer!

Nasty Nati consists of eight former Cincinnati standouts, highlighted by All-AAC performers Troy Caupain, Jarron Cumberland, Octavius Ellis, Jacob Evans, Tre Scott and Keith Williams.

Other players that are expected to compete for Nasty Nati include former Bearcats duo Coreontae DeBerry and Shaq Thomas. Cashmere Wright will replace Corie Blount as head coach.

The tournament is scheduled to take place this summer with eight different regions including Dayton, Louisville, Lubbock, Philadelphia, Syracuse, West Virginia, Wichita and Xavier.

Cumberland scored a team-best 18.8 points per game en route to being named 2019 AAC Player of the Year, while Caupain and Evans took home All-AAC First Team honors in 2016.

The Xavier Regional will tip off in July, followed by the $1 million championship game in August. Nasty Nati was eliminated by the Fort Wayne Champs in the first round last year.

According to a recent report from CBS Sports Insider Jon Rothstein, the Bearcats are finalizing an agreement to play the Dayton Flyers at Heritage Bank Center next season!

Dating back to the first meeting more than a century ago, Cincinnati has faced Dayton the second-most of any team including a 60-31 all-time record against the Flyers.
