After committing to the Bearcats in mid April, 2024 4-star linebacker Qua Birdsong opted to reopen his recruitment on Thursday night.
Birdsong was the highest rated verbal commit in program history and 27th ranked linebacker in the country according to 247 Sports.
Just days after taking an official visit to Cincinnati, the Georgia product broke down his decision to decommit in a recent social media post.
Prior to announcing his verbal commitment to the Bearcats, Birdsong was considering Arkansas, Central Florida, Miami, Michigan and others.

During his official visit last week, Georgia native and 2024 3-star defensive back Willie Goodwyn announced his commitment to the Bearcats.

Cincinnati Football: 2024 3-star defensive end Josaiah Knight decommits from the Bearcats
After originally committing to Cincinnati last month, 2024 3-star defensive end Josaiah Knight decommitted from the Bearcats in early June.
Entering his senior season, Knight is the 55th ranked edge rusher in the country and 108th highest rated recruit from Florida via 247 Sports.
Knight previously revealed his verbal commitment to Cincinnati in May over Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Missouri, Purdue and more.
Other notable prospects that are considering the Bearcats include 4-star edge rusher Kobe Smith and 4-star running back DeJuan Williams.
