During a recent interview with Bearcat Journal writer Keegan Nickoson, Parker broke down his decision to commit to Cincinnati.

"“I just felt like the coaching staff really wanted me there. I could see the joy and excitement on their face. The place is like no other. When you go visit UC, it’s way different than anything else. They’re a winning program. I felt like it was best for me to be there. I gotta give a big shoutout to coach Walt Stewart. He got me down there and offered me, then coach Satterfield called and checked on me earlier this week. That really went a long way.”"
