Cincinnati Bearcats are hoping to stay undefeated against Eastern Kentucky as the programs prepare to meet for the first time since 2008.
During the most recent matchup against the Colonels, Cincinnati secured a 40-7 win as senior quarterback Dustin Grutza compiled 329 yards.
The first-ever meeting against Eastern Kentucky took place in 2006 as Grutza racked up 161 passing yards and one touchdown in a 31-0 win.
With an opportunity to open Scott Satterfield’s tenure on a high note, the Bearcats will look to take down the Colonels on Saturday afternoon!

After building momentum throughout training camp, the Bearcats are continuing to gear up for a battle against the Colonels at Nippert Stadium!
Cincinnati should be able to pull away eventually but Eastern Kentucky’s offense has to be taken seriously or it could end up being a close finish.
Led by quarterback Parker McKinney and running back Braedon Sloan, the Colonels offense could create concerns for Bryan Brown’s defense.
Players to watch include Bearcats quarterback Emory Jones and wide receiver Xzavier Henderson, plus defensive tackle Dontay Corleone.
