Cincinnati started regular season on a positive note but the competition is going to get much more challenging against Pittsburgh next weekend.

During the postgame press conference, Jones discussed his impressive debut and previewed the matchup at Pittsburgh per Cincinnati Athletics.

"“It’s crazy because today was the first time I’ve been nervous in a long time. The main thing was just to go out there and have fun. I feel like everybody feels good about our performance. We’re going to go back and watch the film, and be critical of ourselves because we have a big game next week. We just know that we have to come prepared. I think the mindset and attitude that we had as a team coming in was just flying around the ball. Like I said earlier in the week, I think if we just go out and execute then everything will take care of itself and that’s what we did.”"
