Pro Football Focus recently revealed Cincinnati Bearcats edge rusher Malik Vann was the highest graded defensive player in the Big 12 last week!

Scott Satterfield’s team outlasted the Pittsburgh Panthers last week and Vann played a key role with two tackles and multiple quarterback pressures.

The veteran defensive end decided to come back for a sixth season and is looking to cap off his memorable career with the Bearcats on a high note.

Vann received the third highest grade (93.2) from any power five defensive player behind Michigan tackle Mason Graham (94.0) per Pro Football Focus.

After suffering a season-ending pectoral injury in the home opener last year, the Cincinnati defensive end is ready to return to form!

During the matchup against Kennesaw State last September, Vann went down with an upper-body injury and missed the entire season.

The Cincinnati native committed to his hometown program over six years ago and developed into a major contributor on the defensive line.

Vann totaled 90 tackles, 21 tackles for loss and eight sacks in 47 games, helping the Bearcats secure back to back AAC championships.

The Cincinnati product appeared alongside multiple Big 12 players including Texas defensive back Kitan Crawford and Oklahoma quarterback Dillon Gabriel.
