Cincinnati Bearcats veteran outside linebacker Daniel Grzesiak reminisced on previous trips to BYU and how elevation could play a factor tonight.

Despite suffering consecutive losses, the Bearcats are determined to rebound and make a statement during the first Big 12 road game in school history.

Grzesiak played against the Cougars last season during his lone campaign at Utah State, where he posted 52 total tackles and a team-high 8.5 sacks.

Scott Satterfield’s offense must find a rhythm in the red zone early on but the defense needs to continue to play at a high level in a challenging atmosphere.

Cincinnati Football: Bearcats continue to gear up for first ever Big 12 road game at BYU

After an impressive start to the season, the Bearcats lost back to back games and a difficult matchup at BYU could see the losing streak extend even further.

BYU opened the season with three straight victories including a win over the Arkansas Razorbacks before losing to the Kansas Jayhawks in the Big 12 opener.

During a press conference this week, Grzesiak broke down the environemnt at BYU and explained what it’s like playing in elevation via Cincinnati Athletics.

"“The elevation is going to be a factor but crowd isn’t anything we haven’t seen before. It will be loud but the elevation could be a little problem. I played there last year and was nothing crazy. A short week is tough but we’ve been doing a good job recovering. When I played them last year, they were more of a run-heavy team but they’ve been throwing it the first four games. That’s what I like so I’m going to try to pin my ears back and get after it. It’s a cool offense but nothing that we haven’t seen before.”"
