As the upcoming matchup approaches, the pregame odds continue to fluctuate prior to kick off between the Cincinnati Bearcats and BYU Cougars tonight.

BYU opened as slight favorites when the odds were originally released before the spread flipped to the Bearcats being favored by less than a field goal.

Cincinnati should compete with the Cougars but it’s certainly going to be challenging to pull off a victory unless the recent offensive concerns are corrected.

The latest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook has the Bearcats as 1-point favorites with the over/under projected at 49.5 points but it could change again.

Cincinnati Football: Bearcats are currently slight favorites heading into battle at BYU

BYU opened the season with three straight victories including a win over the Arkansas Razorbacks before losing to the Kansas Jayhawks in the Big 12 opener.

It will be key for the Bearcats to avoid mistakes on both sides of the ball, correct the red zone struggles and limit BYU’s dynamic downfield passing attack.

Scott Satterfield’s offense has to find a rhythm in the red zone early on but the defense needs to continue to play at a high level in a difficult environment.

The Cougars are led by senior quarterback Kedon Slovis, running back TJ Martin, tight end Isaac Rex, linebacker Ben Bywater and safety Ethan Slade.
