Cincinnati Bearcats commit and 2024 4-star power forward Tyler Betsey broke down his commitment during a recent article from Bearcat Journal.

Following an official visit to Cincinnati last month, Betsey included the Bearcats in his finalists along with the Alabama Crimson Tide and UConn Huskies.

Several notable schools were hoping to land Betsey before he committed to Cincinnati today including the Duke Blue Devils, Indiana Hoosiers and others.

Heading into his senior season at St. Thomas More High School, Betsey is the highest rated prospect from Connecticut in the 2024 class via 247 Sports.

The recent commitment is a huge moment for the program as Betsey and McKinley create a dynamic duo heading into the first ever Big 12 campaign.

With a chance to secure an NCAA Tournament berth for the first time since 2019, Cincinnati is looking to find major success in Miller’s third year at the helm!

247 Sports Director of Scouting Adam Finkelstein described Betsey as “a naturally talented prospect who has made notable strides in recent years.”
