Cincinnati Basketball: Bearcats land commitment from 2024 4-star forward Tyler Betsey

Connecticut product and 2024 4-star forward Tyler Betsey announced his long-awaited commitment to join the Cincinnati Bearcats on Friday afternoon!
Heading into his senior season at St. Thomas More High School, Betsey is the highest ranked prospect from Connecticut in the 2024 class per 247 Sports.
Several notable schools were hoping to land Betsey before he committed to Cincinnati today including the Duke Blue Devils, Indiana Hoosiers and more.
Wes Miller’s coaching staff continues to put together the 2024 class following commitments from Betsey and Cincinnati native 4-star center Tyler McKinley.

Betsey discussed his decision to attend Cincinnati and reflected on his recruiting process in a recent statement at Windsor High School via 247 Sports.
Following an official visit to Cincinnati last month, Betsey included the Bearcats in his finalists along with the Alabama Crimson Tide and UConn Huskies.
The recent commitment is a huge moment for the program as Betsey and McKinley create a dynamic duo heading into the inaugural Big 12 campaign.
247 Sports Director of Scouting Adam Finkelstein described Betsey as “a naturally talented prospect who has made notable strides in recent years.”
Cincinnati Basketball: Big 12 schedule released ahead of Bearcats inaugural season in conference
Cincinnati is set to host the defending tournament conference champion Texas Longhorns in the first ever Big 12 game at Fifth Third Arena on January 9.
Following the season opener against Illinois-Chicago in November, the Bearcats will face Dayton, Georgia Tech and Xavier before Big 12 play begins later on.
