Cincinnati Basketball: Bearcats meet Big Ten opponent Maryland in preseason scrimmage

According to a recent report by insider Jeff Goodman, the Cincinnati Bearcats faced Big Ten opponent the Maryland Terrapins in a preseason scrimmage.
Cincinnati junior guard Simas Lukosius racked up a team-high 14 points and sophomore forward Daniel Skillings Jr scored 12 points in the closed exhibition.
Even though Maryland reportedly secured a 74-70 win in the matchup, the Bearcats should be able to build on a solid showing against a quality adversary.
Wes Miller’s team is hoping to find success in the inaugural Big 12 campaign as the season opener is scheduled to get underway in less than a month.

Skillings showed off elite potential as a freshman with a season-high 20 points in a win over Temple, and will likely have significant role this coming year.
With a chance to secure an NCAA Tournament berth for the first time since 2019, Cincinnati is looking to improve on a 23-13 record from a season ago.
Cincinnati Basketball: Bearcats hope to find major success in Wes Miller’s third season
Cincinnati is set to host the defending tournament conference champion Texas Longhorns in the first ever Big 12 matchup at Fifth Third Arena in January.
Following an upcoming game against Illinois-Chicago next month, Cincinnati will take on Dayton, Georgia Tech and Xavier before Big 12 play starts later on.
