The Bearcats opened as 21.5-point favorites over Detroit Mercy with the over/under currently placed at 146.5 points according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
Wes Miller’s team got off to a relatively slow start before taking a 40-30 lead into the locker room and later securing a quality win to tip off the season.

Cincinnati was fueled by three double digit scorers as CJ Fredrick, Dan Skillings Jr and DaVeon Thomas put up 39 points and 13 rebounds in the 69-58 victory.
Despite struggling to shoot outside, the Bearcats created 15 turnovers and dominated the paint en route to eventually pulling away in the second half.
The Titans are led by veteran backcourt duo Jayden Stone and Donovann Toatley, who combined for 35 points and seven assists in the season-opening win.

After transferring to the Bearcats in the offseason, Thomas shined in his debut with a team-high 15 points, three assists and three steals on Monday.
Fredrick came out firing by connecting on his first two 3-pointers en route to finishing with 11 points on 3/6 shooting from beyond the arc in the victory.
There is a lot of room for improvement as Cincinnati attempts to find a rhythm from the perimeter and protect the interior at a higher level moving forward.
With a chance to secure an NCAA Tournament berth for the first time since 2019, the Bearcats are aiming to improve on a 23-13 overall record from last year!
