After winning three straight games against former AAC foe Houston Cougars, the Cincinnati Bearcats are attempting to keep the streak alive this week!

Both programs are struggling during the inaugural Big 12 campaign but it may be a competitive game as the 29th all-time meeting quickly approaches.

Despite suffering a seventh consecutive loss and remaining winless in Big 12 play, Cincinnati should have an opportunity to pull off an upset at Houston.

The Bearcats are coming off a last-second loss to the UCF Knights, while Houston picked up a 25-24 overtime win over the Baylor Bears last weekend.

Cincinnati Football: Scott Satterfield looks ahead to Houston trip in press conference

During a recent press conference, Scott Satterfield looked ahead to the road trip to Houston and goals for the rest of the season per Bearcats Athletics.

The most recent meeting between the conference opponents occurred in 2021 as Cincinnati secured a 35-20 win over Houston in the AAC championship.

"“We go to Houston this week and look forward to playing this game. Obviously we aren’t going to a bowl, which is very disappointing. We can’t stand it but we’re still trying to win this game. We’re trying to win the last three. We want to finish on a strong note and play for the seniors that have been in this program for many years, and I want to send them out the right way.”"
