Following a lengthy recruiting process, 2024 4-star guard Travis Perry committed to Kentucky over the Cincinnati Bearcats and several others on Sunday.

Perry was previously considering the Bearcats along with Alabama, Ole Miss, Western Kentucky and more before revealing his decision to commit to Kentucky.

The Lyon County High School prospect is currently the highest ranked recruit from Kentucky and 6th rated point guard in the country per 247 Sports.

Wes Miller’s coaching staff was attempting to land the coveted point guard but Kentucky was able to acquire Perry as the early signing period continues.

Connecticut native and 2024 4-star power forward prospect Tyler Betsey announced his commitment to join the Bearcats program just over a month ago!

During his time at St. Thomas More High School, Betsey averaged 21 points and five rebounds en route to earning All-Conference honors last year.

Several notable schools were hoping to land Betsey before he committed to Cincinnati in recent weeks including Alabama, Duke, Connecticut and Indiana.

The recent commitment is a huge moment for the Bearcats as Betsey and 2024 4-star center Tyler McKinley will create a dynamic duo in the future.

Betsey is currently the highest rated prospect from Connecticut and 40th ranked recruit from the 2024 class in the entire country according to 247 Sports.

McKinley played his first two years at Walnut Hills High School before transferring to Link Academy, where he helped win the Geico national title game.

Other notable 2024 targets for the Bearcats include 4-star forward Darrion Sutton, 3-star forward Jayce Nathaniel, 3-star forward Klairus Amir and more.
