Lakhin had a career showing on Sunday afternoon, finishing with a season-high 26 points, 11 rebounds and one block on 9/12 shooting from the field.
The Cincinnati center only had eight points and three rebounds at halftime but found his stride during the second half by putting up 18 points and eight boards.
Wes Miller’s team had five other players post double figures including freshman Jizzle James, who seemed even more comfortable than in previous games.

Cincinnati forward John Newman III had 10 points and five rebounds, highlighted by a fastbreak dunk to extend the second half lead against the Eagles.
Despite the shooting and spacing struggles, James shot a perfect 3/3 in the first half as the Bearcats had a 38-30 lead heading into the locker room.
James had the most all-around outing of his young career with 13 points, two assists and two rebounds, playing very efficiently as the back up point guard.
The Bearcats got a lot of help off the bench with 35 points from the reserves as forward Simas Lukosius added 11 points, four assists and two rebounds.

Miller reacted to the Bearcats win against Eastern Washington and reflected on Lakhin’s performance in a press conference via Cincinnati Athletics.
The Bearcats struggled to get open looks from the 3-point line early on but eventually got things going in the second half and secured a third straight win.
