As the regular season winds down, the Cincinnati Bearcats will turn their attention to the transfer portal soon and there are a ton potential targets!
Cincinnati products that could be targeted include Toledo linebacker Daniel Bolden, Eastern Michigan defensive lineman Alex Merritt and several others.
Toledo running back Peny Boone should be another potential transfer to keep an eye on as he continues to help fuel the Rockets impressive rushing attack.
With an opportunity to seal a spot in the MAC title game, Boone racked up 168 total yards and three touchdowns in a division-clinching win last week.

Cincinnati Football: Bearcats should target a trio of potential MAC transfers
After a pair of season-ending injuries in recent years, Bolden has been an integral part of Toledo’s defense with 59 tackles and a fumble recovery this season.
Bolden started 42 consecutive games and was a standout at Colerain High School with 127 tackles en route to receiving All-Southwest Ohio as a senior.
Merritt earned All-Greater Catholic League honors at Moeller High School in 2019 and later developed into a starting defensive end at Eastern Michigan.
Prior to joining the Rockets a year ago, Boone posted 172 rushing yards at Maryland in 2021 and currently leads Toledo with 990 yards and nine touchdowns.

Cincinnati Football: Several MAC standouts could receive interest in the transfer portal
Bolden missed the majority of the past two seasons but has returned to the defense this year and helped Toledo remain undefeated during conference play.
Coming from Detroit Martin Luther King High School, Boone was a 4-star running back and the 6th rated prospect from Michigan according to 247 Sports.
Merritt has recorded 18 total tackles and one pass deflection this season and is expected to have one year of eligibility left after limited action in 2022.
