Cincinnati Football: 2025 tight end prospect Kamaurri Smith commits to the Bearcats

Dayton native and 2025 tight end recruit Kamaurri Smith announced his decision to verbally commit to the Cincinnati Bearcats on Wednesday evening!

Even though he isn’t ranked on the major recruiting sites yet, Smith collected interest from Cincinnati, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Rutgers and others.

The Wayne High School product earned an offer from the Bearcats this week and has officially become the first verbal commitment of the 2025 recruiting class.

A handful of under the radar recruits earned offers from the Bearcats throughout this week, highlighted by 2025 3-star wide receiver Lagonza Hayward Jr!

Hayward is a standout wide receiver prospect at Toombs County High School and would be a major addition to the Bearcats 2025 recruiting class.

The Georgia product is being targeted by multiple notable programs along with Cincinnati including Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Tennessee and more.

Several other 2025 prospects picked up offers from the Bearcats in linebacker Bailey Benson, defensive end Lajesse Harrold and wide receiver Gerritt Kemp.

Benson collected interest from Appalachian State, Duke, Liberty and Marshall, and is an underrated linebacker from Eastside High School in Georgia.

Harrold is a Tampa native with the ability to play defensive end and linebacker, and has offers from Cincinnati, Connecticut, South Florida and others.

Kemp showed plenty of potential during his junior campaign at Hebron Christian Academy, and took recent visits to Georgia Tech and Wake Forest.

Scott Satterfield’s staff is targeting multiple 2025 recruits in 4-star defensive back Trey McNutt and Mark Zackery IV, and 3-star athlete Tristan Norman!
