The Cincinnati Bearcats add their 17th commitment to class of 2026, Markell Taylor. Taylor is a 6-foot-1, 190 pound defensive back from Dallas, Georgia.

Taylor is the fourth commitment within the last three days and is the fourth defensive back in the Bearcats' 2026 recruiting class so far. Taylor visited Cincinnati last week, which must have gone well, choosing the Bearcats over schools like Kansas State, Memphis, and Toledo.
Taylor is an extremely gifted athlete, getting beat on routes very few times while also having the speed to play a little further off the defender when in zone. Taylor's 4.5 40-yard dash speed is a huge part of his game, but not all that's to it. His ability to track the ball and force pass breakups and even interceptions is something that needs to be noted. His patience not to bite on double moves as just a rising senior at North Paulding High School is something quite impressive, too.
