The Cincinnati Bearcats land a commitment from Bryson Buckingham from Oklahoma City. Buckingham was part of the class of 2024 before spending last season at Link Academy in Branson, Missouri. Link Academy is a college prep boarding school with an incredible basketball program that puts several players in Division-1 colleges every year. It is unclear with him being part of the class of 2024 if he we be on the roster for the upcoming season. There are still some details missing, waiting for an official announcement from Cincinnati regarding an enrollment date.

Buckingham plays the point guard position extremely well. He is able to get into the paint at a high level and score in numerous ways. He's a fantastic shooter off the dribble and the catch. His is also very capable to creating his own shots aswell as creating for others.

At 6-foot-1, the biggest question surrounding his game is how well he will be able to play defense in the Big 12. Buckingham is a capable defender and gives a ton of effort on the defensive side of the ball, but that sometimes isn't enough given his size. He will likely improve, which will be good to see, but the matter of how big the improvement will be is key to the kind of role he will play on the Bearcats.

Buckingham could be seen in a role like CJ Fredrick played last season, although likely elevated. Minutes dedicated to hitting shots and creating for himself and others, a spark plug off the bench.
