The Cincinnati Bearcats extended an offer to Class of 2026 4-star recruit Josh Irving on July 29. Irving ranks as the No. 72 prospect, No.7 in Calif. and the No. 9 center.
Irving holds offers from a number of other big time schools including Kansas, USC, TCU, and Arizona State.
Truly blessed to receive an offer from the University of Cincinnati! Thankful for everyone who's been part of the journey.#Bearcats pic.twitter.com/fvYSsgZxu6

Irving isn't built like your typical 6-foot-11 basketball player and definitely doesn't play like it either. Irving is a capable driver, has a good post game, but can also take defenders off the dribble or settle for a jump shot. Irving's defense is impressive, being able to impact everything taken around him even if he can't get a hand on it.
The Bearcats have had luck recruiting against bigger schools in the past, with players coming having the hope of playing a larger role while still competing against top-tier teams.
