The Cincinnati Bearcats expressed a lot of interest in Jordi Rodriguez this offseason and finally got a deal done on Thursday, July 31.
Rodriguez, a 6-foot-7 forward from Spain and the EuroLeague's Club Joventut Badalona has committed to play for the Bearcats.
Rodriguez is 21 years old, coming into his first season of college basketball as a true freshman.
Rodriguez is reuniting with his former Spanish teammate, Baba Miller. The two had been teammates years ago when they both played for Spain's U16 team.
At the FIBA U19 World Cup, Rodriguez averaged 13.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists on 40% shooting from three-point range.
