The Cincinnati Bearcats are finalizing a non-conference matchup with the Georgia Bulldogs, which is expected to take place on Dec. 13 as part of Holiday Hoopsgiving in Atlanta, Georgia, at State Farm Stadium.
These two teams last faced off on Nov. 13, 2021, at Fifth Third Arena with the Bearcats winning 73-68 behind 11 points from Jeremiah Davenport and Mika Adams-Woods.
Georgia, being a tournament team last season, gives the Bearcats another strong out-of-conference matchup.
The Bulldogs have a strong transfer class following the loss of some players to the Transfer Portal and the NBA Draft. They are bringing in some familiar faces to Bearcat fans with Kanon Catchings, who scored 12 points against the Bearcats last season as a part of the BYU Cougars.
They also bring in California standout Jeremiah Wilkinson, who averaged 15.1 points per game last season, and Jordan Ross, who averaged 8.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists at Saint Marys last season.
The Bearcats are yet to release their full out-of-conference schedule, but we still know some notable matchups for next season. They have already scheduled matchups between Xavier and Dayton, and a Big East-Big 12 challenge matchup is likely coming as well. With Georgia being added to the mix, it gives the Bearcats a competitive and interesting schedule before the Big 12 season starts.
