It was released earlier this afternoon that Cincinnati Bearcats forward Jalen Haynes is out indefinitely with a lower-body injury, according to Keegan Nickson of Bearcat Journal.
Haynes played at George Mason last season, where he averaged 14.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. Haynes was named to the All-Atlantic 10 First Team and A-10 All-Tournament First Team, being a very sought-after player in the transfer portal.
With the Bearcats acquiring Haynes, Bearcat fans finally thought they would get their big-man bruiser that worked so well from the '90s to '10s under Bob Huggins and Mick Cronin. The Bearcats haven't had a true paint beast since Gary Clark in 2019.
It is unknown how long this will keep Haynes sidelined or if he will return at all. This post will be updated as more information becomes available.
