The Cincinnati Bearcats unveiled a brand new "black cat" uniform this season, and it was a huge success. The Bearcats wore the uniform 4 times this past season and went 3-1 while wearing them.

The black cat uniform was first announced on Dec. 11, 2024, and then debuted against Xavier on Dec. 14, 2024, in the annual Crosstown Shootout. It was then worn against Dayton in the Hoops Classic on Dec. 20, 2024, in one of the best jersey matchups of the year. They were worn again on the road against Colorado on Jan. 15, where the Bearcats got their first Big 12 win of the season. The Bearcats went 3-0 in their first three games wearing the black cat uniform and won by a combined margin of sixteen in those games. The black cat uniform was worn most recently in the Bearcats' final game of the season against UCF in the Crown Tourney, where they ended up losing 88-80.

The black cat uniform was announced as a nominee for Uniswag's yearly uniform of the year award on June 5, and after 10 days of voting, it was then announced as the men's college basketball uniform of the year on June 16, beating out uniforms from schools like Alabama, North Carolina, Clemson and Houston.

Cincinnati joins Alabama, Texas Tech, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, and Clemson as teams to win the award, as well as being the first Jordan school to win.
