The 2025-26 College Basketball season is just about underway, meaning that some head coaches across the sport are entering the season with their job already hanging by a thread. One of those names could be the Cincinnati Bearcats head coach, Wes Miller.

The Cincinnati Bearcats are NCAA Tournament or bust this season, 2019 being their last appearance. Miller and General Manager Corey Evans brought in a great roster that should be able to compete in the Big 12 and in college basketball as a whole. Recruiting has never been the issue for teams in the Miller era; it has always been the on-court production. The last two seasons, the Bearcats have had a roster talented enough to make the tournament, and by the metrics, they should've. The last two seasons being on the outside looking in make this possibly the final year of Miller if his team doesn't perform to the standard.

The Cincinnati Bearcats brought in two talented seven-footers, Moustapha Thiam and Baba Miller, giving them the inside presence they had last year, but also a ton more spacing; Thiam and Miller able to shoot the three-ball surprisingly well.

KenPom has the Bearcats' defense ranked fifth in the country, and their offense ranked 74th. By these metrics, the Bearcats should be a shoe-in for the NCAA tournament, but let's not speak too soon.
