Could this former Cincinnati Head Coach be in danger of losing his job?

Former Cincinnati Bearcats head coach Luke Fickell is officially on the hot seat after a 2-4 start, including 0-3 in the Big Ten. Their only two victories come against non-Power 4 opponents, Miami (OH), and Middle Tennessee. Their losses were by 24 to Alabama, Maryland by 17, Michigan by 14, and Iowa by 37 in a shutout loss this past weekend.

The blowout loss to the Hawkeyes this past week was the final straw for a lot of Wisconsin fans. Now that they host the No. 1-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes next week, who are already favored by 24.5 points, the thought of the season being over is a harsh reality for many.

Wisconsin fans are calling for his firing, but he is under contract through 2032, the next seven seasons potentially being coached by Fickell. His current buyout is set at $25.2 million, something that can set a team back, losing all that money at once.

Cincinnati Bearcat fans like to use this opportunity to point out that while Fickell is on the decline, Satterfield is on the incline, both with 7-8 records in their last 15 games, while the Bearcats sit at 5-1 and are ranked No. 24 in the nation.
