Former Cincinnati Bearcats quarterback, Desmond Ridder joins his fifth NFL team since being drafted in 2022 by the Atlanta Falcons. Ridder joins the Minnesota Vikings after J.J. McCarthy went down with a high ankle sprain that will keep him out for the next couple of weeks.
The Minnesota Vikings take on the Cincinnati Bengals next week in Minneapolis, Minnesota in a matchup that is going feature backup quarterbacks.
Ridder signed with the Bengals all the way back on July 20th, and was then later cut by the Bengals after the preseason ended on August 26th.
Ridder will have an opprotunity to play against his former team, Carson Wentz is the projected starter for next Sundays game, but could be taken out if he doesn't look very good.
Ridder last faced off against the Bengals on November 3rd of last season in week nine. The Bengals would win 41-24, in a game where Ridder struggled a lot.
