Don't be surprised if this Cincinnati Bearcats receiver emerges as WR1

Caleb Goodie was acquired by the Cincinnati Bearcats out of the Transfer Portal this offseason on December 15th, 2025. He was one of the first players to come in this year's portal class. Goodie was the leading receiver for the Colorado State Rams last season, posting 21 receptions, 436 receiving yards, and 4 touchdowns in 12 games last season.

Goodie turned it on in the final 5 games of the season, having 328 of his total yards in those weeks. With Goodie being dominant late in the season, all transferring into a good situation, he is due for a big jump in production.

Goodie brings upside with big chunk plays, something the Bearcats struggled a ton with last season. Goodie averaged 20.8 yards per play season, having chunk plays as big as 40, 46, 55, and 85 yards long.

With quarterback Brendan Sorsby entering his second season as the Bearcats' starter, he is likely to improve, regardless of having a deeper wide receiver room.

An improved Sorsby with receivers present that can enhance his game can help this Bearcats offense explode in 2025. They finished the season averaging 420.6 total yards of offense per game, ranked 47th in college football. They lacked in the red zone, not being able to score touchdowns when they got into scoring position. They scored touchdowns on 60% of their red zone visits, ranked No. 78 in the FBS.

Last season's pass game struggles were handled aptly by Caleb Goodie, and hopefully he can turn into the player he is projecting towards.
