EA Sports announced a new college basketball game on Monday, June 30, that will come in 2028. A new college basketball game has been heavily anticipated ever since EA Sports brought back the college football franchise. This is the first college basketball game since NCAA Basketball 10, which game out in 2010.

The 2025-26 Cincinnati Bearcats won't be in the game, unfortunately, but let's predict what the players' overall rating would be.

Jizzle James - 83 Overall

Jizzle ended his sophomore season campaign averaging 12.7 points, 3.5 assists, and 3.0 rebounds. James averaged 17.5 points per game in the final 11 games of the year, showcasing what kind of role he can play as the feature player in an offense. He shot 43.3% from the field and 28.7% from three-point range, both improvements from last season. James only averaged 1.2 turnover per game last season, taking care of the ball at a high level for someone with the highest usage rate on the team. An 83 overall seems modest for James but accurate.

Day Day Thomas - 81 Overall

Day Day Thomas averaged 10.4 points, 3.3 assists, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.7 assists a very well-rounded player for the Bearcats last season. Thomas is a veteran in college basketball, entering his third season at Cincinnati. I predict Thomas to be at an 81 overall, but could see him as low as 79 and as high as 83.

Moustapha Thiam - 85 Overall

Moustapha Thiam had an incredible season at UCF before transferring to Cincinnati, averaging 10.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks. He is entering his sophomore season, where he will likely take a jump in production. Thiam also shoots 3-pointers very well for someone who is 7-foot-2, shooting 29.1% on 79 attempts last season. Thiam at an 85 overall sounds like a good rating with a ton of room to grow if he does explode for a huge sophomore season.

Baba Miller - 81 Overall

Baba Miller transferred in from Florida Atlantic University after his junior season, where he averaged 11.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.7 blocks. Miller shot 34.2% from behind the arc, very impressive for a 6-foot-11 forward. Miller, having good production at a mid-major program, is why I have him at an 81 overall. There is plenty of room for growth, which I expect Miller to improve his rating as the season goes on.

Shon Abaev - 79 Overall

Shon Abaev was the number 22 prospect in the class of 2025, the highest since Lance Stephenson in 2009. Abaev is expected to be a key piece on the Bearcats next season as he is a high-floor, higher-ceiling type of prospect. Abaev, at 6-foot-8, can score at all three levels and is a very capable defender. His athleticism makes him a mismatch for bigger and slower defenders, but his height begs the question of whether you can put a quicker, smaller guard on him. I have Abaev at a 79 overall, which is good for a true freshman. Bearcat fans would likely have him higher, but I am just predicting what EA would do.
