Former Cincinnati Bearcats player James Hudson III who was selected in the fourth round by the Cleveland Browns in the 2021 NFL Draft. Hudson signed a two-year $12 million deal with the New York Giants this offseason and finally got an opportunity to play at left tackle with Evan Neal going down with an injury in week one.

James Hudson got the start against the Dallas Cowboys and made an impact on the game immediatley. On the Giants first drive of the game, Hudson allowed a sack and was penalized four times. Hudson jumped offsides twice and was docked for unessisary roughness twice as well.

Hudson was benched after the first drive and was seen frustrated on the sideline, screaming at the Giants' offensive line coach, Carmen Bricillo.

Hudson became the first player this century to commit four penalties in one drive, not a good way to take advantage of his opportunity. Evan Neal is still expected to miss the Giants' week three matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football.
