Former Cincinnati Bearcats wide receiver Alec Pierce put on a show in Berlin, Germany, this weekend, during the Indianapolis Colts' 31-25 overtime victory over the Atlanta Falcons.
Pierce caught 4 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown, his longest reception being for a 37-yard touchdown. On the season, Pierce has 28 receptions for 585 yards and 1 touchdown, averaging 20.9 yards per catch, good enough for tenth in the NFL.
Pierce is in the final year of his Rookie Contract after being selected by the Colts in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Pierce is a very sought-after free agent, being able to fit into almost any offense with his play style. Pierce is one of the best deep threats in the NFL and can create problems for any defense if paired up with a true WR1. Expect there to be several teams looking to sign Pierce if the Colts decide to turn down his fifth-year option.
