The Cincinnati Bearcats football team plays its home opener in Nippert Stadium on September 6th at 3:30 against the Bowling Green Falcons.

In preparation for the college football season, along with the other fall sports for the Bearcats, Nippert Stadium underwent several "major upgrades" per BizJournals.com. There are six pieces of the upgrades worth mentioning:

Concession Enhancements

The main enhancement to concessions at Nippert Stadium is the 513 Stand. Menu items are priced appropriately at $5, $3, and $1. The Nippert Market was also added, featuring local favorites such as Rhinegeist, Skyline, and Milton's. The Tangeman University Center also had some concession enhancements. You can now order food from the TUC, along with Skyline Chili carts located under TUC Bridge.

Leaky Lawn Upgrades

Sheakley Lawn underwent significant upgrades, with the majority of the lawn transformed into a Beer Hall. With a variety of options, new outdoor furniture, and more picnic tables gives more fans the opportunity to enjoy the pregame. Hours were also extended to enhance the pre-game experience.

Visual and Accessibility Improvements

These upgrades are highlighted by expanding the stadium perimeter to include Fifth Third Arena and TUC. With those two facilities now connected to Nippert, it provides more controlled areas with additional amenities. New stadium signage was also added around Nippert, along with Ring of Honor murals.

Fan Experience Team

A dedicated team was put together to enhance the fan experience. Concessions, parking, and many other fan experience questions are available to be answered around Nippert Stadium, before, during, and after games.

Safety and Traffic Adjustments

Gate C has been closed for football game days during the 2025 season for pedestrian safety. Fans are now being encouraged to use Gate B or E. Staff have also increased around Eden Garage to manage shuttle and fan activity.

New Mobile App

The Cincinnati Bearcats released a new mobile app that helps with purchasing and accessing tickets, fan trivia, halftime games, contests, and easier access to contact management.
