Cleveland native and 2026 5-star guard Marcus Johnson should be considered a top priority for the Cincinnati Bearcats staff going forward!

Johnson took visits to Cincinnati and Ohio State in early August, and has brought in offers from Alabama, Illinois, LSU, West Virginia and more.

The Garfield Heights High School product is the top rated 2026 recruit from Ohio and 4th ranked point guard in the country per 247 Sports.

Wes Miller's staff should have a legitimate chance to land Johnson but Ohio State is the current favorite according to On3 Recruiting.

Following a visit in December, the Bearcats are among multiple potential suitors to eventually add 2025 4-star point guard Kaden Magwood!

During an interview with Stockrisers, Magwood mentioned Cincinnati, Illinois, Mississippi State and Xavier are recruiting him the most right now.

Magwood was in attendance for the Bearcats recent in-state matchups against Dayton and Xavier, and is expected to visit campus soon.

The Oak Hill Academy prospect is currently projected to commit to Xavier but Cincinnati remains in the mix as well via On3 Recruiting.
