A season-high 25 turnovers cost the Cincinnati Bearcats during a 68-59 loss to the 10th ranked Iowa State Cyclones tonight at Fifth Third Arena.
Cincinnati committed 14 turnovers throughout the opening half and went onto finish with the most turnovers (25) in a game since 2006.
Despite entering the matchup as slight favorites, the Bearcats weren’t able to overcome a sloppy showing against the Cyclones stout defense.
Iowa State finished the first half on an 11-2 run to take a 34-26 lead into the locker room before eventually pulling away early in the second half.

Cincinnati freshman guard Jizzle James posted a game-high 16 points, and small forward Daniel Skillings Jr scored 13 points and 11 rebounds.
During a postgame press conference, Bearcats head coach Wes Miller displayed his frustration following the lackluster performance at home.
"Our staff has to do a better job. We have really good players that I believe in so to turn over 25 times means we have to do better as coaches."
The Bearcats fell to 15-9 after a second straight loss as the NCAA Tournament aspirations seem to be slipping away with just seven games left.
