A last-second shot from veteran forward Simas Lukosius sealed the Cincinnati Bearcats 74-72 win over the Kansas State Wildcats tonight!

Cincinnati blew a double-digit lead in the final minutes but Lukosius scored a game-winning basket with only 10.6 seconds remaining.

It appeared the Bearcats were going to coast to a comfortable win until Kansas State went on a 10-0 run to take a slight lead down the stretch.

Wes Miller's team was able to eventually escape with a thrilling victory to improve to 17-12 as the regular season continues to wind down soon.

Bearcats forward John Newman III racked up a team-high 18 points, and guard DaVeon Thomas totaled 14 points and five assists in the victory.

Cincinnati compiled 36 points in the paint and 29 points off turnovers, while committing just six turnovers during a critical conference win.

Lukosius collected 13 points and four assists to help the Bearcats snap a recent losing skid and stay alive for the upcoming NCAA Tournament.

The final week of the regular season will include a trip to Oklahoma on Tuesday evening before hosting Big 12 rival West Virginia on Saturday!
