Cincinnati Basketball: Bearcats get ready for road trip to BYU in Big 12 debut
By Charles Post
After recently wrapping up non-conference play, the Cincinnati Bearcats take on the BYU Cougars in the long-awaited Big 12 opener on Saturday!
Cincinnati will face BYU for just the fourth time ever and the first meeting since blowing out the Cougars 84-59 in the 2001 NCAA Tournament.
The Bearcats are 10.5-point underdogs against BYU with the over/under currently set at 150.5 total points according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
Wes Miller's team should stay competitive but it's certainly going to be difficult to take down one of the conference's top ranked programs.

BYU enters the matchup with a 12-1 record that includes a win over San Diego State, and is led by star senior shooting guard Jaxson Robinson.
It will be important for the Bearcats to contain BYU's high-powered offensive attack and limit Robinson from getting quality shot attempts.
Robinson previously played at Arkansas and Texas A&M before joining BYU last year, and posting a team-high 16.0 points this season.
There are several players that will play a key role including Cincinnati veteran trio Simas Lukosius, John Newman III, DaVeon Thomas and others!
