Cincinnati Basketball: Bearcats ride second half run to resounding win over Evansville

Despite a dreadful start, the Cincinnati Bearcats were able to ride a second half run to a 76-58 win over the Evansville Purple Aces on Friday.
Evansville took a 40-32 lead into the locker room before Cincinnati started the second half with an impressive 35-10 run to regain complete control.
The Bearcats were fueled by five players in double figures including senior guard DaVeon Thomas totaling 10 points and seven assists.
With a chance to close non-conference play with a win, Cincinnati outlasted Evansville and is set to enter Big 12 play with a 3-game win streak.

Bearcats veteran guard Simas Lukosius posted a season-high 15 points and six rebounds plus knocking down 5/8 shots from beyond the arc.
Following an underwhelming first half, Cincinnati eventually pulled away during a resounding win against Evansville at Fifth Third Arena on Friday!
Lukosius has now reached double digit scoring in three consecutive games played, averaging 13.3 points and 3.0 rebounds in that stretch.
Wes Miller's team moved to 11-2 with the double digit victory and will get ready for conference play to officially get started in just over a week.
