Cincinnati Basketball: Bearcats storm back to secure first Big 12 Tournament win

A thrilling second half comeback fueled the Cincinnati Bearcats to a 90-85 win over West Virginia in the Big 12 Tournament first round!
Bearcats forward Simas Lukosius racked up a career-best 31-point performance including 26 points throughout the second half comeback.
Cincinnati guard DaVeon Thomas compiled a career-high 29 points, highlighted by a clutch game-sealing 3-pointer in the final seconds.
It appeared the Bearcats were on the way to being eliminated but a 20-4 run tied it in the second half and totally shifted momentum!

Cincinnati set a Big 12 Tournament record by knocking down 16 3-pointers in the comeback win to take down West Virginia on Tuesday!
Lukosius connected on six consecutive shots from beyond the arc that helped the Bearcats turn a double digit deficit into a narrow win.
Thomas drilled back to back 3-pointers to hand Cincinnati an 83-82 lead and eventually earn the first Big 12 Tournament win in school history.
Wes Miller’s team will move onto meet Kansas in the second round of the Big 12 Tournament on Wednesday night at the T-Mobile Center!
