During a narrow loss in the Big 12 home opener, the Cincinnati Bearcats struggled to defend the Texas Longhorns star forward Dylan Disu.

Following two years at Vanderbilt, Disu decided to transfer to Texas in 2021 and has developed into one of the Big 12's most dynamic players.

The Bearcats couldn't slow down Disu as he finished with a game-high 33 points and six rebounds to fuel Texas to a conference win.

Wes Miller's team wasn't able to adjust to Disu's impressive outside performance, continuing to leave him relatively open from beyond the arc.

Bearcats guard Simas Lukosius had a season-high 19 points and four assists, shooting 7/10 from the field during the disappointing loss.

Cincinnati will look to bounce back against the Baylor Bears on Saturday night before returning home as Big 12 play continues going forward.

Despite falling a bit short, the Bearcats found plenty of success on offense against Texas by shooting 7/17 from 3-point territory tonight.

There were plenty of factors in the last-second loss including an inability to limit the Longhorns frontcourt from creating quality looks all game.
