A dominant third quarter spurt helped fuel the Cincinnati Bearcats to a 67-62 win over the UCF Knights to advance in the Big 12 Tournament!

Cincinnati guard A’riel Jackson had a team-high 14 points in the win, while senior forward Jillian Hayes racked up 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Katrina Merriweather’s team trailed 35-25 at the half before going on an impressive 10-0 run and outscoring UCF 29-10 during the third quarter.

The first appearance in the Big 12 Tournament will continues as the Bearcats move on to meet West Virginia in the second round on Friday!

Despite struggling in the first Big 12 campaign, the Bearcats will have an opportunity to go on a memorable run in the postseason this weekend.

Jackson totaled 12 points in the third period alone, highlighted by a buzzer-beating triple to take a 54-45 advantage into the fourth quarter.

Hayes helped lead Cincinnati with 12.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, while racking up double-digit scoring 16 times in Big 12 play.

The Cincinnati product recorded her 23rd career double-double against UCF just days after taking home All-Big 12 honorable mention recognition!
