Cincinnati Bearcats coach Wes Miller reflected on a 69-65 loss against the Oklahoma Sooners throughout the postgame press conference.

“I didn’t think that we played our best basketball. For some reason, I think we had better attitude, approach and effort all year than we did today."

Oklahoma was fueled by an impressive outing on the defensive end as Cincinnati struggled to find a rhythm with two scorers in double figures.

The Bearcats were hoping to pick up a second consecutive win over a ranked opponent but Oklahoma was able to hold off a late surge.

Cincinnati fell to 13-5 with the loss and will try to bounce back against the Big 12 preseason title favorite Kansas Jayhawks on Monday evening.

During the postgame press conference, Miller also explained that the Bearcats can't afford to dwell on the loss as Big 12 play continues.

“You don't have time to put your head down and pout so you'd better figure out how to learn and grow, then getting ready for the next game.”

With an opportunity to take down one of the nation's premier programs, Cincinnati heads to Kansas for a marquee conference showdown.
