Cincinnati Bearcats coach Wes Miller reacted to a 76-58 victory over the Evansville Purple Aces in the postgame press conference tonight!
Despite struggling on defense in the first half, Cincinnati held Evansville scoreless for over eight minutes to create an insurmountable lead.
The Bearcats were fueled by five players in double figures including senior guard DaVeon Thomas totaling 10 points and seven assists.
With a chance to close non-conference play with a win, Cincinnati outlasted Evansville and is set to enter Big 12 play with a 3-game win streak.

Bearcats veteran guard Simas Lukosius posted a season-high 15 points and six rebounds plus knocking down 5/8 shots from 3-point range.
Cincinnati forwardJohn Newman III racked up a team-best 16 points to help the Bearcats remain unbeaten at Fifth Third Arena this season.
During the postgame press conference, Miller reflected on the Bearcats impressive win over Evansville to close the non-conference slate.
"If we continue to play with that defensive activity, energy and intention then we have a chance to a competitive team in our league."
