Cincinnati Bearcats new running backs coach Sean Dawkins was officially welcomed into the program as spring practice kicked off Monday!

Dawkins spent the last two years at Memphis and has over 15 years of experience coaching running backs with Charlotte, Troy and more.

Scott Satterfield discussed the hire of Dawkins and explained what he will add to the Bearcats revamped coaching staff in a press release.

"Sean is a tremendous coach. He had success at every stop. I'm excited for him to get started working with our staff and running backs room."

Cincinnati was third in the Big 12 and sixth in the nation with 217.1 rushing yards per game during the only season with De'Rail Sims on the staff.

Memphis running back Blake Watson received All-AAC honors under Dawkins, posting 1,152 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns last season.

The Bearcats started spring practice this week and will look to find success as Dawkins takes over a talented group of veteran running backs.
