As bowl season continues today, the Cincinnati Bearcats should keep an eye on a pair of players that are set to compete in the Quick Lane Bowl.

Bowling Green veteran linebacker and Cincinnati native Avi McGary could be a potential target for the Bearcats at some point in the coming years.

Minnesota freshman offensive lineman and Cincinnati product Phillip Daniels is another player to watch in the upcoming bowl game.

The Quick Lane Bowl is scheduled to take place between Bowling Green and Minnesota at Ford Field in Detroit on Tuesday, December 26.

Both players are set to square off when Bowling Green takes on Minnesota with an opportunity to finish off their campaigns on a positive note.

Daniels committed to Minnesota just over a year ago and was previously a 3-star recruit coming out of Princeton High School per 247 Sports.

McGary has become an integral part of Bowling Green’s defense in recent years after receiving All-GMC honors at Lakota East High School.

The most recent matchup between the Midwest programs was in September 2021 as Bowling Green pulled off a 14-10 upset at Minnesota.

Cincinnati Football: Bearcats add several players from the transfer portal

Even though neither player opted to enter the transfer portal this cycle, the Bearcats should target Daniels and McGary in the future.
