Cincinnati Football: Simas Lukosius returns from injury with season-high 15 points

Cincinnati Bearcats guard Simas Lukosius came back from a shoulder injury with a season-high 15 points in the non-conference finale tonight!
Despite dealing with an injury that was caused by a car accident last month, Lukosius helped Cincinnati edge the Evansville Purple Aces.
Lukosius has now reached double digit scoring in three consecutive games played, posting 13.3 points and 3.0 rebounds throughout that stretch.
The Bearcats were fueled by five players in double figures including senior guard DaVeon Thomas totaling 10 points and seven assists.

Cincinnati forward John Newman III racked up a team-best 16 points to help the Bearcats remain undefeated at Fifth Third Arena this season!
Evansville took a 40-32 lead into the locker room before Cincinnati started the second half with a 35-10 run to regain momentum from then on.
The Bearcats get a week off before returning to action in the long-awaited Big 12 opener at the BYU Cougars on Saturday, January 6 on ESPN2.
Wes Miller's team moved to 11-2 with the double digit victory and will get ready for conference play to officially get underway next month.
