Rumors surfaced on Friday morning, July 25, about Jizzle James' future with the Cincinnati Bearcats for the upcoming 2025-26 season.

James, who has played for the Bearcats the past two years and averaged 12.7 points, 3.5 assists, and 3.0 rebounds last season, would be a huge loss for the Bearcats. He is expected to be the starting point guard for the Bearcats this upcoming season and would leave a huge gap as the teams main playmaker.

James posted the two photos below on his story, which were then later deleted making fans wonder If he will be available for the upcoming season

The first photo is James replying to a tweet saying he might have been kicked off the team, which he replied, "Thank you Cincy, it was a movement, Shit FA and TJ".

James seems to be mentioning the Bearcats' motto of the last couple of seasons, "the movement." It seems like it could be a sarcastic mention to the team, bashing the coaching staff, or it could be nothing of that nature at all.

The second photo is a screenshot James posted on his Instagram story from a DM, it is a conversation with someone unknown at the moment that reads:

"called teams. They laughed and said, Let's talk about something serious. They genuinley thought I was joking. We need to play at Cincy this year bro. Plain and simple. I will be up there Monday if you still wanna be there. I can't help you if you don't wanna be at Cincy. That's the only option right now."

There is a lot to unpack from that second photo, starting with who the conversation could be with. People are speculating that it is someone in his management or agency group from how the conversation was worded.

"We need to play at Cincy this year.. plain and simple", makes people think it two trains of thought when they initially hear it. Either the person he is having a conversation with is telling him that playing for the Bearcats is his best option, or if he does leave going to a team that has Cincinnati on their schedule for next season. It seems like it would be the first option, as the conversation ends with "I can't help you if you don't wanna be at Cincy. That's the only option right now."

James posted the screenshot of that conversation along with a reply to the initial message saying "Tell them I'll go G league", once again not knowing specifically who "them" is, but assuming it is teams possibly weighing the option of taking on James.

A fan account for all Cincinnati sports teams speculates that James was kicked off the team, but with no real evidence known except for the two Instagram posts that were then quickly deleted.

There is a lot of uncertainty around this situation, with no one truly knowing exactly what is going on. His Instagram had been claimed to have been hacked back in May of 2025, when a rumor surfaced about him entering the transfer portal.

For the time being, before anyone knows exactly what is going on, let's hope that this is a similar situation to what happened in May. Losing James would be a huge blow to the team this close before the season starts.
