"We have a standard we want to play to, and we did not play to that standard in the second half." Cincinnati Bearcats Head Coach Scott Satterfield shared his opinion on the Bearcats' performance against the Bowling Green Falcons and is disappointed in the way they came out to play in the second half.

The Cincinnati Bearcats led 24-3 at halftime and ended up winning the game 34-20, being outscored 17-10 against the Falcons in the second half.

Satterfield emphasized that this week the defense looked a little more sluggish than the offense this week. The defense allowed a couple of drive-extending penalties that helped Bowling Green into scoring position.

"I think we ran 53 plays in the game and a couple of them were kneel-downs; that's not very many opportunities for offensive plays to be able to run their offense," said Satterfield.

If the defense can get off the field and let the offense get deeper into their scheme, then the game would've gone a lot smoother.

"You can see the fight in this team, this team this year, compared to last year," Satterfield went on to say while talking about their mentality heading into next weeks game

Cincinnati plays Northwestern State, an FCS that didn't win a single game in 2023 or 2024. The Demons finally got their win against Alcorn State before losing to the Minnesota Golden Gophers 66-0. Cincinnati is expected to win big, with almost no betting line or odds on any sportsbook.
