After the Cincinnati Bearcats 70-0 win over the Northwestern State Demons they were one of college football biggest risers according to ESPN's SP+ statistic that measures efficiency, explosiveness, field position, finishing drives, and turnovers.
They jump from 59 to 44, moving up 15 spots making them the fifth highest riser this week. Cincinnati next two opponents, The Kansas Jayhawks and Iowa State Cyclones have rankings of 36 and 23, likely to be the toughest stretch of Bearcats schedule this season.
The Bearcats played a near perfect game last Saturday, scoring 10 touchdowns, a new record for touchdowns scored in a single game, Brendan Sorsby went 15 for 15 and was responsible for 6 touchdowns, and the first team offense scored every time they touched the ball.
Standing at 2-1 the Bearcats single loss is by three points to an undefeated Nebraska Cornhuskers who have one of the best defenses statistically at this point in the college football season.
